Our company has years of experience

BLUE DIAMOND CALCINE & REFRACTORIES is one of the largest business setup in Saurashtra focusing on extraction of bauxite from natural mines in the region. The company also recently initiated a sophisticated process of manufacturing of Calcined Bauxite catering to the emerging needs of the Indian mineral market. Mining

Since the bauxite underneath to the surface, with a shallow overburden (some places it is exposed at the surface itself), mine development is carried out by direct removal of overburden using excavators. Drilling / blasting also done wherever required. Open cast mine benches are developed to facilitate proper bauxite excavation.

Calcination

The calcination of bauxite is a process that involves heating bauxite in a kiln at high temperatures to remove moisture and produce calcined bauxite. The process involves mixing raw bauxite, crushing and storing it, and then heating it in a rotary kiln at temperatures of 1650–1700°C. The result is calcined bauxite, which has a high alumina content, low iron, and is refractory, tough, and hard. It also has high thermal stability, mechanical strength, and resistance to molten slags.

Exporting

Material is mostly handled and moved mechenically by using tractor-trailers / dumpers from one point to the other. For this, the company has its own fleet of trucks / dumpers and tractors. Additional vehicles are hired whenever required. Basic movement sequence is as given below.

Refractories

Refractories are materials that are resistant to high temperatures, chemicals, and abrasion. They are used in industries where extreme conditions are present, such as in furnaces, kilns, reactors, and other high-temperature processing equipment. Refractories must maintain their strength, shape, and chemical properties at elevated temperatures.
